Hello from Tasmania. My call is VK7RH and I live in Launceston, northern Tasmania. I am 60 and have been a ham since Xmas eve 1971 but an SWL since 1956. I currently write a monthly column in Australia's "Amateur Radio magazine" called simply "Spotlight On Swling". I have been compiling this since 1980. I currently reside in an independent living unit within a retirement village. As you would expect I can't erect any outside antennas for HF, nor operate there but I do have a small 2m vertical and have an Icom IC25 which I have had for 27 years. I get away with operating on the local repeater on low power. I do miss ragchewing on HF though. My SWL receivers are a Yaesu FRG 7700 and and Icom R70 but all I have for an antenna is 21 feet of wire slung along a curtain rail and well hidden . I hope this forum will be good and allow me to keep abreast of what is happening on the bands. I do miss the DXtuner website and all those remote locations. What a pity especially for those like me in restricted circumstances with antennas. There were other reasons I know why it closed. 73, Robin L.
